I have a young woman!!

I am amazed at how fast life goes by. We certainly have had many adventures, travels, and growth experiences! I always hear that parents always mess up their first kid and I have done my best to prove that wrong. I think I have done a pretty good job! I try not to argue and become a teenager when she makes snarky remarks and I try to listen without getting mad. Miriam is pretty darn awesome!
I don't know what to say about her. She is helpful, conscious of what needs to be done, willing and able! She is growing up so fast. She has a lot of confidence to still build in herself and I hope I am helping not hindering that process. She is a quick learner and is getting pretty good with piano! Almost as good as I am (not that I have much skill). She is also almost as tall as me! I hope she passes me soon! :) Here is a present of my 12 year old Young Woman with her new 31 bag she got for her birthday!
My heart is so full to have her as a daughter! She is beautiful and much smarter than I was at her age! She has a growing testimony and I believe she will stay faithful throughout her life!
I love you Miss Mimi!! (p.s. she doesn't like to be called that anymore -except for Emma-! Sound familiar MandY? <3 p="">

Well Miriam has been in Costa Rica for 10 days and 2 days before she gets home, it snows!! :) And it is going to be below freezing for the week!! Here are some pictures of our good times so far! We can't wait for Miriam to get home and hope there is some for her to walk around in when she gets here!!

Well with Facebook being so popular these days I realized when I posted this last one, that I hadn't ever even put anything up here about Emma's birth, or about many other things, so I thought I would just do a picture post. Most people reading this already have seen these but here you go! :)

Newest addition

Nine days ago a cute, friendly cat found us in the cul-de-sac. He (we thought it was a girl) wanted to be pet and wanted to follow us around. I didn't want him to let him go and get hit or die, so I called animal control and had him picked up. The two hours it took for them to get here, this little guy got in our hearts and we almost didn't let him go! However we decided to wait the allotted time and go get him if no one else did and....Today....
We welcomed our newest addition to the family today. He doesn't have a name yet, since we can't agree on anything, but one thing is for sure! We are glad we got him!

Today

I am not very good at expressing in words what is in my heart, but I will try.
This morning we have been watching videos and clips that the church has published. I am again at awe and overwhelmed with gratitude for what the early saints went through. Their faith is inspiring! They worked hard, they had great faith and they sacrificed much. I am so grateful for them, and grateful for the gospel that I have been blessed to have my whole life. Watching these makes me realize the great responsibility I have to share what I know with others and to teach my girls the truth, and how to recognize the truth through the spirit so that they can also know! I know that this gospel is the truth, I know that there is a prophet on the earth, in Thomas S Monson, who talks to God, and who leads us in faith to become closer to our Savior, Jesus Christ. I am grateful for the atonement of the Savior, that allows us to repent and become better. And by which we will be able to be resurrected and return to our Heavenly Father! I am so very grateful today and wanted to share.

Halloween

Halloween seemed to go on forever this year! We had a few things that we went to and dressed up for, so it was fun. Ward 'Fall Festival', Dunham's Halloween party, and Trick or Treating with Carabello's. Yesterday was rushed and raining so no pictures of then, and Miriam wouldn't dress up or trick-or-treat anyway, so there you go! LOL We had fun all weekend! Here are pictures of all our costumes! Oh and Laurie had two costumes!

costume for ward party
All the girls were lady bugs their first halloween...and sometimes their second as well, this is from when Miriam was 1!

And the costumes that I spent the most time on!!!!!
