Cookies and Singing

Our family has many great moments. Well tonight after a slightly difficult day with the girls we had a Family Home Evening. Miriam picked the topic of Self-Esteem. Carlos gave the lesson and then we went around and said nice things about each other. It really was wonderful. Miraim picked things that she really thought of. Elaine usually copied Miriam so we would help her with things we noticed. It is good to hear that even though they are difficult sometimes, they really love you! I am grateful that we had FHE tonight and that we read some scriptures together that taught us about our worth to our Father in Heaven. It was a pretty good half hour tonight!

Homework

My favorit(e) part was George Washington fiting (fighting) ugenst (against) England.
Miriam's assignment was to draw and write about a part of a story. They have been talking a lot about Abraham Lincoln and George Washington so this was in her mind. I think she did a pretty good job for her first time drawing a horse and a canon. :) Oh and Pres Washington.
I helped her with the proper names.

Already started?

I was about to leave the computer FINALLY and told the girls that before Daddy gets home I needed to clean out... and Miriam filled in the blank for me with "his bank account" LOL I just had to write this down.

It never gets old!

Shallow?

I realized today that I am not a very deep thinker... I have a few friends/family who always have insiteful things to say and deep thinking or spiritual entries and I love reading them. I mean maybe I do have deep significant thoughts, however, I can't articulate them or write them down. It is kind of frustrating. So I only put up basic light stuff that I am sure are boring. Well not my pictures...who can think my kids are boring!?????? But anyway, I am going to try to have more intellecual thoughts and moments in my life. Maybe read something educational instead of murder mysteries. hehehe. Also reading more of the scriptures than I do will certainly help my life improve and maybe make my weak mind strong.

I'm Soy excited!

Laurie is one of those babies who throws up a lot...not quite as much as Elaine did, but enough! So...after realizing that she hates taking meds and cries every time I give her the zantac, I decided to try something and maybe I wouldn't need the zantac anymore. I have stopped using milk and eating ice cream. I haven't had much of either lately anyway, but I didn't want to do it. A friend of mine did it when her girl was nursing and said it was an amazing difference. So...I am drinking (well using) unsweetened Soy milk right now. It isn't bad. It is really creamy and good on cereal. If I were to drink it straight I think I would switch to the vanilla or something but.... Anyway, I hope it works. It will take a while for it to really manifest itself. The other thing that I think might help but I am not sure I am willing to cut is.... chocolate!!! We will see.

Anyway, I think it is time for some pictures. We finally plugged our big computer back in so... here goes. All pictures are from February.
2 months! I wore this dress for approx. 15 min. Then threw up on it. :)
This is it folks! See why I am still wishing it was winter. No that is not frost, that is SNOW!
Crazy hair day. We decided she would go with 'bugs' in her hair.
Elaine has to be with her sister! And Miriam likes it most of the time. I got these shirts from Walmart for $1.00!!! Elaine's is perfect!

Awwww Valentine cuteness!
Me and my sisters:)
Meenum, I love you
Sisters, I love you but....
hehe, Laurie gets a little tired of Elaine's constant touching sometimes :) and this was the end of our photo session. she had had enough
Miriam used to do the same thing. A little scary looking...

Siblings at our South Hill, VA get together.
All Chacon grandkids!
babies are: Mason, Laurie, Cooper, Benjamin.
Big kids are: Miriam, Logan, Elaine

Yep I'm in charge!
Any questions?

Pooh bear, Buggie, and Squishy

AKA Miraim, Elaine, and our newest Laurie.
These are our baby nicnames for our girls ;). Miriam was also Boobah (before the weird creatures came out!!!) Mimi, Mad maddam Mim, and now Meenum (that is what we now use, that is how Elaine said Miriam's name when she was just beginning to talk). Elaine is also Lainey, Laine and we still use Buggie and Lainey bug. Don't know what we will call Laurie as time goes on, right now it is still Baby, Little Laurie, cutie pooh and now Squishy. Hehehe, we just say whatever comes out! LOL
p.s. we also had a name invented by Elaine to thier cousin Logan...Lowly!! It is so cute when kids say names and they can't say it right! :)

Also in this post I am recommending a cute children's book! We got it at our last trip to the library. It had Carlos and I laughing. It is called 'Once upon a time, the end (asleep in 60 seconds)' by Geoffrey Kloske and Barry Blitt.
I just might want to buy this one!!!
