Cherry Blossoms

So the Friday before Conference, we went to Washington DC for the Cherry Blossom festival. We got a great parking spot, which we later found out really means, you will get a ticket soon!!!! Ouch! It is a good thing Carlos decided to go back to the car after an hour because we would have gotten towed!!
We walked around hoping it wouldn't rain, which it didn't! :) It was a lot of fun, very pretty and the girls did pretty well. It was a quick trip!
On our way home after being stuck in a bit of regular traffic, we stopped by Potomac Mills to eat somewhere and found a fun diner. We enjoyed all getting what we wanted, Miraim: Spaghetti as usual; Me: omelet; Carlos: country fried steak!; Elaine: pancakes as usual; and Laurie: a little of everyone's plus her own side of corn! Yum! :)

Walking by the Washington monument on our way to the blossoms.

Listening to a high school band at the WWII monument. Boy did that bring back memories!! It was windy and they liked getting wet from the fountain.

Laurie wouldn't stand still. We were looking for Daddy at this point, walking toward the Jefferson monument.

SO many trees all around the water of the Jefferson

beautiful

In the tree, look at all those holes! The next day she got another hole on bottom!!!
