WA wedding and other fun

My trip to WA was a nice one. Sort of stressful because I was traveling by myself with the girls, which would have been fine if I was not pregnant, tired, and crabby! ;) We got there and had a good time with family and friends. I got to go to Burgerville, the greatest place in the Northwest;). I got to visit with Nancy and her family. Then for the main even, everyone started arriving for George and Lynnette's wedding. It was a wonderful wedding and reception. Things went well and it was beautiful! Reception was also great. The food was exceptional and the announcer was just perfection (I will have to remember him for my next event :) )! Anyway, I am so happy for Lynnette and George and I know they will be very happy! George is the best brother in the world! Congratulations, and thank you for a great time while we were there!!!!

SHE STARTED SCHOOL!!!!!! *** revised***

BOO HOO!!!!

That was me this morning after I dropped Miriam off to school. (no pictures please)

Miriam was so excited! We got her lunch together and her clothes picked out the night before. We got up early, she said it was still night time ;). School is from 7:45-2:05 Bus comes at 7:15!! We got dressed, ate breakfast, read scriptures, brushed teeth, got shoes on, took pictures, and went out the door to the car. Elaine was really sad that she couldn't get dressed and go with Miriam to school. Miriam was a bit nervous but not much, I was more than her.
We got to the school, got out of the van and walked to the front door. We found the Kindergarten helper and she started to escort Miriam to the door. I gave her a hug and a kiss, told her I loved her and she turned around with the lady, and walked through the door, not looking back once! The principle was at the door and said, "she is doing great!". Surprised that she wasn't scared. She did do great!!
Then I picked up Elaine, who was crying and practically ran to the car before I broke down and cried....all the way home!!!!! I waited in the car to see if maybe I could stop before going inside..but...I couldn't, so I went inside and cried on my mom's shoulder for about 5 minutes! I was so sad that she would be gone for so long, I wouldn't be there to shelter her anymore. What if she needed me!!
Well I went about my day just fine and couldn't wait until 2:10 when I could go to the bus stop and get her and see how her day went and her first bus ride! Well...we got there and waited and waited... Finally the bus came and the door opened and this is what we saw...

She had gotten on the bus, very happy and eager to come home. She had a GREAT day!! She loved school. She asked the bus driver, "Do you go to Elsing Green Place?" (our street) and the driver said "No, I go to Elsing Green Way". (her stop is a few blocks away) Well this devastated her and she was afraid she wouldn't get home, so she cried the whole way home!!!! :( My poor baby!!!!!! I just feel so awful for her! We had told her the bus would take her home and I guess she thought that really meant HOME. So for the rest of the day she talked about how she didn't want to ever ride the bus again!!!! We had to have long talks about how the driver knew her now, knew what stop she got off on and knew what we looked like, and wouldn't let her off unless we were there! It took a while for her to go to bed because she was so worried about it!.
She did have a great day though and she loved eating in her cafeteria, and nap 'wasn't so long'.

She even had homework. They had to bring 5 things that represented them or their interests. She brought her lantern (she doesn't like the dark and it keeps it light), her silver cup from GG with both their birth dates on it, her sock monkey, a picture of her family with one on the way!, and a book from Singapore and a Costa Rican post card because she loves to travel. They will share it with the class so they know more about each other.
This morning, she got up and was still realllly nervous about the bus. She kept saying her belly hurt! Carlos walked her, like he always will and the neighbor boy across the street walked with them.

I drove behind the bus today to make sure she did alright and she did! I think coming home today will be just fine. What a big girl, we are so excited for her!

It's been long enough!! ;)

My 10 year High School reunion was on Aug 10th. I was a little nervous going because I was by myself. All the friends I grew up with couldn't be there and I had already committed to going, so I went alone. Luckily when I got there, I saw Jenny Roland, and she eased my nerves. She looks really good and is soon going into training to become a flight attendant as her new adventure. She was tired of dental hygiene. I recognized a lot of people who I had forgotten about, a lot of people I didn't know were going to be there and there were also some people who I didn't expect to see.

Jenny decided to move her social skills elsewhere so I continued to walk around hoping to see someone to talk to...when I found...CASEY!!! I didn't expect to see her because she lived in Arizona. It just so happened that she was moving to Seattle that weekend so she was there! YEAH!! I was so glad to find a friend who I didn't expect and who I am so comfortable with! Thank you!!! She was with her sister and also sitting with Deanna (from gymnastics) and her husband who I have been in school with forever... Jake Mutschler! They are expecting their first baby soon and they are so cute and it was so good to see them!!

It was so good to be there and see so many people. There were a few people who I missed seeing, and a few who I didn't get pictures of. Barry Corse is married has one 2 mo old girl, living in Kentucky. John Siemssen is married 2 boys and living in Pennsylvania. Mike Brown was there with his wife, who's name escapes me (I'm sorry!!). She is beautiful and he is just as nice as ever! And of course the token famous person that has to be in each grade, Dan Dickau was there with his wife Heather. They both looked great, I don't know who he plays Basketball for currently. There were also the people who didn't come who I was hoping to see, but maybe not everyone cares to see people from their past and that is ok! Anyway...

Deanna & I

Jason & Kim Bates (3 kids, Arizona)

Me & Ryan Loren (Japan, may be back in WA now?)

After Reunion

I am so happy with where I am now, who I am married to and my children. I have a good life. It was not hard being there pregnant since there were so many others there as well. The socialization was good, the people all nice and memorable. I am glad I went!! I missed all my friends who couldn't come!

I forgot to take a lot of pictures at the picnic on Sunday but got a few that might be OK. Some people came who weren't there Friday, LOTS didn't come. Some didn't come who I thought would (Marci!!) But it was a good time and the children all played and it was fun.

OK people

I have been thinking that this time I would be having a boy because I was so much sicker and I haven't gained much weight (10lbs so far) and I let people convice me it was, even though the better part of me knew not to expect it...and........
ITS A GIRL!!!!!
I am excited but a bit sad becuase I had so totally conviced myself that we were having a boy that I just didn't want to believe it. But you know, we love our children and are glad we are having another girl! Elaine and Carlos new all along it would be a girl. As soon as the lady started looking he knew. I just wanted to wait for actual confirmation. So we don't need to buy a whole new wardrobe!! Yeah! I will put up pictures later!

Introducing!!

Evoly Mercedes
Hurray!!
Sarah has had her baby today. She did a very good job of delivering. We arrived at the hospital yesterday evening and they gave her some cervidel to soften things up. She had the pitocin at about 6am and got the epidural about 10am. Sarah's Dr She delivered her chubby baby girl at 3:37pm. Mom and I helped her during, Marlon was allowed in the room and sat by the side. The Dr. asked who wanted to cut the cord and no one spoke up so...I said I would! It was neat...although it was a little like cutting raw chicken. :)

I was afraid that I wouldn't make it through the whole birth since my stomach has been weak to things like that but I made it without so much as a turn in my stomach! I was very happy with that. I think it isn't so much what I see as it is thinking about the pain, but I didn't think about it so...!

Marlon was happy to see his baby. Sarah is doing fine, a little sore at epidural site. Only got a small tear. Evoly is a good sucker, she is having a bit of trouble keeping her temp up but will be fine!

Lovely

Well Nana is here! We are having a good time. Sarah and Nana are getting stuff to prepare for Evoly. The girls are enjoying sleeping on the floor bed beside Nana in the Family Room. It is all so exciting for them! We are reading lots of books, eating yummy food, and watching movies!!

Oh last week we had a 'camp out'. We went to some friend's property and did a fire with hot dogs and s'mores and then the girls and daddy slept out in the tent in our back yard! They had a blast!!!!!! The girls got some new silky jammies from Nana and Papa and Elaine doesn't want to take her's off! She loves silky fabric!! Miriam will even wear them despite the fact that they have buttons! :) Here are some pics:

WE SAW HARRY POTTER!!!!!! It was sooooo goooooood!! I think I am going to have to see it again!! We still need to go see Transformers and Ratatouille.

I am starting to have to wear larger clothes cause nothing is fitting me...I got a new shirt that I like, maybe I will take a pic of me in it and post it...maybe! Anyway, nothing else to report!

Celebrate!

I usually have something planned for the 4th of July, going to some fireworks display or something. But this year I have been so busy doing other things, that I almost forgot about it! Here in VA they have lots of things going on and many 'shows' you can go to, however, I will never find anything as wonderful and free might I add, as the fireworks show at Fort Vancouver, Washington! It is the best ever, we would go every year, unless it was Sunday, then we would watch it on TV! I realllly miss it! Anyone who is close enough to go and has the time should go!
This year we are going down to Raleigh, NC. I am excited to go back and see the babies again! (I went with the girls and Rose-Marie on Friday last week) Carlos is coming this time so it will be fun, and we are staying longer! The boys are so amazing and perfect, small and wonderful!
I went to my Dr appt today and I should have brought the girls! I thought it was going to be more extensive but they just checked the heart rate and took some blood. They will come next time on July 31st when we do the ultrasound! Everything is fine and I was surprised to find out that I had only gained 2 pounds!! The baby's heart rate is 130...so any guesses this time?
